That is so sad. Exercising does not get rid of the weight but does stop problems in mobility and diabetes.
A Samoan I spent the night with weighed 185 kilograms. She worked in child care in Kaori a suburb in Wellington. She travelled from Porirua by two trains and one bus. From the train station she walked 3 miles ascending nearly 1000 feet up. Did not make any weight come off but blood sugar levels, organs all working and she had movement but most of all walking up and down hill makes the core strong. She could hump.
Of course when she used me as the mattress the pressure was fantastic.
WOW I dont have any problem with mobility yet I've been doing a little exercise and quite a bit oh walking hoping it will keep me from becoming a diabetic the Dr said I'm borderline now, I really changed my eating diet its not that I ate to many sweets its that I was eating the wrong foods according to her.
Diabetes is organ failure. The organ in this case is the liver. It is the body incapable of running itself. Do not break this incredible system. It is easier to be more active and eat well most of the time than to be under diabetes treatment. One is hard the other is hell.
